Looking for feedback?

The second Tuesday of every month is Bracknell Writers Group’s Share Night. This is when we use the time to read and review each other’s work.

Share nights are very popular, and we want to make sure everyone gets a turn to receive feedback. That’s why, in 2026, to ensure we will be prioritising sharers who:

  • Are still in the editing phase

  • Are actively seeking feedback

  • Know what kind of feedback they’re looking for

If you have a piece of writing you’d like to receive feedback on, please tell us about it below and we will try to add you to the list.

Join our Sunday Write Days

The first Sunday of every month is Write Day. In these day-long sessions, we take over the upstairs function room of The Bull for a whole day of writing. This is an excellent opportunity to make a big dent in your current project, find inspiration, and receive help and feedback.

Don’t worry if you’ve never visited the Bracknell Writers Group before – this is the perfect opportunity to get to know who we are and what we’re about!

Write Days run from 10.30am–3pm, but you are free to drop in and out as you please.

  • We’re a community of over 250 members that seek to unite writers of all types, abilities and backgrounds in Bracknell. The Bracknell Writers Group is a collective of like-minded people who all have one thing in common: we love writing!

  • Nope! The Bracknell Writers Group is totally free to join. We do encourage you to support our hosts, The Bull, by purchasing food or drink from the bar.

  • A pen and paper is all you’ll need, but you’re welcome to bring anything that you prefer to write on. A laptop, a tablet, a beer mat… We encourage you to bring any material you’re already working on, especially if you’d like to receive advice and feedback.

  • We encourage members to share their work and to accept criticism in an open, humble and non-judgmental environment. However, you’re not obligated to do anything you don’t want to do. It’s 100% your choice!

  • Any! We welcome anyone who has an interest in writing, whether that’s fiction, non-fiction, screenwriting, playwriting, songwriting, poetry, journalism, memoir writing, essay writing or copywriting.

  • Great, you’re more than welcome. We’re always happy to give advice and encouragement to first-time writers like you. Come along and find out what it’s all about.
